The Book Collector, set up by Ian Fleming 65 years ago and recently bought by his nephew James Fleming, celebrated this anniversary of the special Ian Fleming issue with not just one, but two parties.

In true Bond style, two iconic book shops played host to the launch events – one at Daunt Books in Marylebone to launch this special issue of the quarterly journal with one of its contributors, Jeremy Miles, sharing with the audience how he got hooked on Bond and started collecting Bond novels from an early age – white tux and all!

The second party was held at Sotheran’s Books near Piccadilly to give collectors a first glimpse of the specially bound version of the Ian Fleming issue and some of the special pamphlets printed on hot-metal mono-type press.
Both events saw the great and the good of both Bond connoisseurs and collectors, get together with many notable guests including Emily Russell, Jon Gilbert, Ajay Choudhury, Sir Paul Judge and members of the Fleming family.
