British actor, producer, director and writer David Oyelowo is to narrate the audiobook edition of the forthcoming official James Bond novel,Trigger Mortis, by bestselling author Anthony Horowitz. He follows in the footsteps of other actors who have narrated 007 novels, including Kenneth Branagh, Hugh Bonneville, Tom Hiddleston and Rosamund Pike.
Oyelowo is known for roles in theatre, film, radio and television. He was born in Oxford in 1976 and in 2001 he appeared on stage in the title role of Henry VI in the groundbreaking Royal Shakespeare Company production. He played the character, Danny Hunter, in the popular BBC TV drama, Spooks, between 2002 and 2004. He has appeared in films such as The Last King of Scotland, Lincoln, Jack Reacher, The Butler and Selma, for which he received a Golden Globe Best Actor Award nomination for his portrayal of civil rights leader, Martin Luther King, Jr.
